Greetings from the President!

As September draws to its close, I find myself reflecting on a word that has accompanied me through much of this month's reading, thinking, and conversation with members and colleagues: Pathya. In classical Ayurvedic tradition, Pathya is not merely what is permitted - it is what is prescribed. It is the regimen of right living, the discipline of choices that, sustained over time, build health and wholeness. Applied to the world of business and professional conduct, Pathya becomes something equally profound: the discipline of right compliance - not as a burden imposed from without, but as the internal architecture of an enterprise that intends to endure.

This month's journal theme - Pathya for Business: The Discipline of Right Compliance - invites us to think about compliance not as the adversary of enterprise, but as its foundation. It is a conversation this Association is uniquely placed to lead, because it sits at the precise intersection where law meets practice, where the regulator's expectation meets the businessman's reality, and where the Chartered Accountant's counsel becomes the bridge between the two............
